Cable tray under desk

As the cable tray fully fulfils its purpose for me and I was contacted so kindly by the Ultimate Setup team, I am happy to take a moment to write a review:

The build quality and stability of the cable tray are absolutely sufficient for the intended purpose. Neither abrasion nor dirt were visible - for me, however, oThis is of secondary importance, as the cables will probably not be touched again for a long time once they have been stowed away.

Installation is really easy thanks to the integrated drilling template. The screws supplied could be of better quality - you should definitely pre-drill to avoid breaking them, especially with harder wood. I used them anyway, as they do their job reliably once they are firmly in place.

The many cut-outs offer flexible options for attaching power strips, power supply units and cables. The distance to the table top is just right - enough space for the usual equipment without the tray getting in the way when sitting or resting on your knees. If a power supply unit does not fit due to its size, cable ties or side mounting will help - with a little creativity, there is always a solution.

The double-sided suspension is a clear advantage - especially with heavier loads, this is an advantage from a physical point of view. Of course, you need to be careful when loading so that the tub does not accidentally unhook on one side. If you have a bit of manual dexterity, you won't have any problems here. Once it has been hooked in, it will always remain firmly in place.

The accessories supplied are a little too extensive for my taste - the cable ties and Velcro fasteners are particularly practical. I preferred not to attach the self-adhesive brackets to my beautiful walnut table. The included drill is also a nice touch, but unnecessary for me - if you can assemble a table, you usually have tools at home.

The product looks well thought-out and solid, and it feels good to be using something that doesn't look like the usual disposable item. Whether it is actually "engineered in Germany" or not, you can tell that there is more to it than that.

All in all: a functional, easy-to-install and stable cable tray that does exactly what it should. And when it comes to price, as is so often the case, quality can cost a little - especially when there is a dedicated team behind it.

The cable tray is simply brilliant! I used to have a lot of cable clutter - due to my extensive setup on my desk. But I was really surprised at how neatly everything now fits into the cable tray. And the best thing is that I can still get to the multiple plugs and cables without any problems.

The delivery arrived safely packaged and the cable tray itself meight makes a robust, high-quality impression. It also looks great - you can hardly see a single cable, which significantly enhances the whole setup.

Installation was super easy: the drill holes in the base of the cable tray also serve as a practical template. Simply mark briefly, pre-drill, screw on the brackets, hang in - done! That's how uncomplicated you want it to be.

I also found the cable management set supplied particularly positive - really comprehensive and helpful. There was even more than I needed in the end.
